Dental implant technology is considered the best alternative to replace missing teeth. When done by a qualified professional, the clinical and aesthetic success rate scores very high. Implants can replace one or more teeth or even an entire arcade.
The implant consists of using titanium pins that are inserted into the dental arch bone. Once implanted, these pins act as an “artificial root”, where different types of dental prostheses of one or several teeth can be fixed (implanted). The titanium pin adheres firmly to the bone becoming an integral part of the mandibular bone structure.
Here are some recommendations that we wish to share with our patients:
It is important to point out that the implant is a simple and low-impact process for the patient both during and after the procedure.
The materials used in our clinic are made by highly specialized professionals, who evaluate each case individually. We provide tomography-based planning and the whole procedure is carried out in a highly aseptic environment, totally safe, to guarantee a satisfactory and quality final result.
Laser
The laser is a concentrated beam of light that can be adjusted to many wavelengths and produce different therapeutic properties for different treatments. Lasers are used to treat a variety of dental issues because of its anti-inflammatory, analgesic and bio stimulating action. Modern dentistry now sees lasers as an indispensable therapeutic aid in any dental environment. In general, the therapeutic laser has a number of indications and can be used alone or as a complement in other treatments, for example – whenever a local effect is needed or even when a general therapeutic effect is recommended.
Some applications and indications for the use of therapeutic laser treatment in dentistry:
Reduction of edema or swelling: indicated in the postoperative application of periodontal procedures (gingival inflammations and supporting tissues of teeth), as well as other minor oral surgeries and in the;
In the case of cold sores, for example, lasers have been very effective, significantly reducing discomfort and pain. Additionally, lasers will bio-modulate the buccal region, that is to say, it will make the site more resistant (the cells of our organism become stronger and resistant to the virus) causing the recidivism rate to decrease sharply.
It is interesting that lasers may be used in the initial phases of an injury, the moment when it is most effective against virus presence. Laser may also be used in other phases, thus improving the cicatricle quality of the affected region.
